Dorin
Hi there, I am a graduate of The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Looking back in 2016 when I moved to study in the Netherlands, I have to admit that I didn’t do in-depth my research as in terms of what university should I take, what program fits me the best, or what to expect overall from an international environment. It was tough at the beginning, but then you know the saying – experience comes with time. Nevertheless, the student years gave me a very strong foundation and built towards the person I am today. Realizing the mistakes I made, I feel the need to share them with those who are at the stage I was some years ago.
• Biggest Challenge: My two biggest challenges was how to find a job, and how to balance work and studying.
• Top Advice: Don’t expect anyone to solve your problems, it’s a very competitive environment in the Netherlands. Take the phone and call, open the email and write, need help – ask.
• Expertise: How to land at a good job, networking, work-study balance.
